Are your frocks from genuine authentic labels?  

Every dress is the genuine article - authentic designer labels sourced from reputable retailers and resellers.

 

Are the frocks new?

All our dresses are either brand new or in 'like new' condition and we take great care to ensure that every dress is carefully looked after - so they stay that way. Basically, if we wouldn't wear it out, you won't find it for hire on our site.

 

Can I request a dress that is not featured on your website? 

Of course - we’re constantly looking to add to our designer line-up to create the best possible selection for our customers. Email us with the dress or designer you’re looking for, and we’ll get right back to you.

 

 

Can I buy any of the frocks on the website?

Can't bear to give a particular dress back? We may be able to sell ex-project dresses to you at a fair price - just drop us an email to see if we're willing to let it go.

 

 

Can I sell you a new or gently used designer dress? 

We're always on the look-out for Frock Project frocks. If you have a dress in good condition that you think would be perfect for The Frock Project, email us with a description and a few pictures - and we'll make you an offer.

 

Is there a limit to the number of dresses I can borrow? 

You can borrow up to two dresses at any given time but this can change at the discretion of the management.

 

DELIVERY

 

How are frocks delivered?

Our dresses are delivered by Royal Mail (Recorded Delivery) and returned to us via courier, which means your dress can be collected at a convenient time from your home or workplace. The cost of delivery is £9.95. This covers both delivery and collection and includes full insurance for your dress while it is in transit both to and from you.

 

How long do frocks take to arrive?

Standard delivery time is 2-3 working days for deliveries within the UK. In some circumstances we can offer next day or same day delivery in London. You will receive an email when we despatch your dress and you should receive it the next working day. If you do not receive your dress in this timeframe please notify us immediately by email.

 

For deliveries outside the UK, standard delivery time does not apply - please contact us for confirmation of these delivery times.

 

RETURN

What if I return my order late?

If you have reason to believe that your dress will not be returned on time, please let us know straight away. We reserve the right to charge you for every day your order is late (since you could be ruining someone else's Frock Project). You can, however, contact us by email to switch your hire period from a 4 days to 8 days if the dress is available.

 

How do I return the dress to you?

Just call or email us 24 hours before your dress needs to be back at Frock Project HQ - and we will arrange for a courier to pick your dress up.

 

DAMAGE AND STAINS (GASP)

What happens if the frock I have borrowed becomes damaged, lost or stained?

If you lose or damage your dress, the first thing you should do is to inform us by email. We reserve the right to handle each incident on a per case basis. Any damage will be looked into before informing you of any required next steps or payments.

 

If the dress is damaged, lost or torn beyond everyday wear and tear, you will be charged a repair or replacement fee as estimated by us. Some items may not be easily replaceable and a fee, up to the full retail price of the dress, may be charged. Retail prices for each dress are stated on the website. When you provide us with your card details to pay your rental fee, and agree to our terms and conditions, you are giving us permission to take payments for loss or damage from this card.

 

Who is responsible for dry cleaning?

The Frock Project is responsible for all the cleaning of dresses. Please do not attempt to clean the dress yourself. If you stain or damage the dress in any way, don't panic, just let us know straight away. Obviously, if a dress is beyond repair, you will be liable for the damage. Please see our terms and conditions for details.

 

FROCK HORROR PROTECTION

How much is Frock Horror Protection and what does it cover?

Frock Horror Protection is £7 per dress and covers minor damage and repairs. We classify minor damage as repairable damage to fastenings (buttons, zips, hook and eyes), hems, beads or sequins and stains that can be removed using specialist treatment (over and above standard dry cleaning). This does not cover major and/or irreparable damage, loss or theft.

 

When we receive the dress back from you, we will conduct a thorough assessment of its condition.  If we identify any damage, we will contact you to discuss payment and repair.

 

THE SERVICE

How long can I 'borrow' a frock for?

At the moment you can hire a dress for four or eight days, subject to availability. But if you want to hang on to it for longer, that's no problem. Just email us and we can either renew the rental for you, or give you a quote for a longer hire period (provided the dress isn't reserved).

 

When does my hire period start?

Your hire period starts on the day your order is delivered, which is the date you select on the reservation calendar. For example, if you choose to have your dress delivered on a Tuesday, that is your start date. Your dress needs to be received back to us on the final day of your hire period. For example, if the first day of your hire period is a Tuesday, this is the day you would receive the dress. If you opted for a four day hire period, the dress would need to be back with us on the fourth day, i.e. Friday. If your hire period ends on Sunday or a bank holiday, the dress needs to arrive back to us the following business day.

 

How can I be sure a frock will fit?

Our stylists have invited girls of all shapes and sizes to try on our dresses - so are well placed to advise you on how the dress should fit. The sizing charts on our website, along with detailed sizing information by dress, provide precise guidelines. If you're still unsure, just email a Frock Project Stylist.

 

What if I receive a frock and it doesn’t fit?

If your dress doesn’t fit, contact us immediately by email upon receiving your order to let us know you will be returning it. You will need to notify us within 12 hours of receiving the dress that you want to return it and to arrange for the dress to be collected from you. We should receive your unused frock back at Frock Project HQ within two working days. Once we receive your dress, we will issue a refund minus the cost of shipping.  Please note that we will only be able to issue a refund if the dress is returned to us with our tags still intact.

 

Can I try on a frock before my event?

Yes, you can try a dress on in advance of your event to make sure it fits. Just find the dress you want to try on, order it by placing the delivery date for your EVENT in the calendar, then choose the try on service option on the delivery page to let us know that you would like to try it on in before your party.

 

If it’s available, we will get in touch to arrange a try on date and send you the dress to try on at an additional cost of £9.95 to cover return delivery. 

 

 

FINANCE AND PAYMENT

Do I have to pay VAT?

All the prices shown on our website are inclusive of UK VAT.

 

Do you offer gift vouchers?

We don't currently offer gift vouchers on the website - but we hope that will change. 

 

How do I pay for my dress?

We currently accept payment on the website through Paypal, Visa and Mastercard.

 

Is it safe to use my credit or debit card on the website?

Our site is as secure as we can possibly make it. All transactions are processed using a secure online payment gateway which encrypts your card details in a secure host environment. We do not hold your credit card details. To help ensure that your shopping experience is safe, simple and secure we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This encrypts and protects the data you send to us over the Internet. To ensure you process orders securely you need to have SSL switched on in your web browser.

How private do you keep the personal information I give to you?
